Coordination of Internal Complaints Committee
The Internal Complaint Committee (against sexual harassment of women at workplace) is a complaint redressal mechanism as well as an educational resource for faculty, staff and students and ensures their right to safe, respectful and egalitarian work and learning environment. The centre coordinates the activities of ICC and undertakes the following:

  • Dissemination of Information: creation of resource materials, organization of awareness raising workshops etc.
  • Provision of counselling and support services

Advocacy with youth across Maharashtra on the issues of contemporary concern:

Organization of action research workshops with undergraduate college community on the questions of
  • sex- selection
  • inclusive education


Gender sensitization of different constituencies:
  • Lectures in refresher, orientation courses, Faculty Development Programmes
  • Workshops, Programmes in colleges and diverse organizations


Coordination of Day Care Centre
  • Provision of day care services to children of university employees and students.
  • Organization of educative and creative workshops with children including summer workshops with children on campus

Collaboration and Networking
Developing Strategic Partnership with research institutes, colleges, and development sector: Some of the significant collaborations for conducting research, training, and field work activities include those with University of Massachusetts, Amherst, CILHE (Centre for Indian Languages in Higher Education), TISS- Mumbai, Higher Education Cell, CSCS (Centre for Study of culture and Society), Bangalore, Zubaan, feminist publishing house, New Delhi.
