"I am a PhD student in computer science department at university of Warwick, UK. I work in interdisciplinary area which involves Biology, Mathematics, computer science, Economics and Physics. Not only that, I am completely funded and well paid by my university for continuing my studies.

I'm writing this cause I want to let everyone know that whatever I have achieved till now is due to my training at ISSC. I was a very average undergraduate student at S.P.College, Pune before I joined ISSC in 2000. It was at ISSC, where I understood that how computer science can enhance the research carried out in pure sciences.

There were 30 students in my batch, 5 of them are doing PhD. Ganesh is in Pune university. I and Debasish Das are in England. Mohammad Khaleghi is in Germany and Rajnish Ranjan is working on blue brain project in Switzerland We all were trained at ISSC.

I possibly had the nicest time of my life in Pune university where I not only learnt many things but also gained friends for a lifetime.

ISSC has been a wonderful institution. I have been associated with it from 2000 since I joined there for my MCS. I am still in touch with the faculty members and follow the progress made by the school. I see that the facilities has been much better from my time and the courses taught are as good as the courses taught in UK and US at postgraduate level.

The message is simple, if you want to cater to the general and labour oriented computer industry in India, go and join some course in a college but if you want to play at the global level you need to raise your standard and you need a specific type of training for that, you get that training and support at ISSC."

"There are alumni and lots of students from our batch who have won and competed against the IITians at various contests. Talk about Bitwise, competitions held by Nalini Foundation for Symbolic Logic, ACM-ICPC, NCC and the list goes on. Nobody is boasting about the greatness of the ISSC. No department is great. It's the students and the faculty who make it what it is. We were always busy with the course work most of the time but we did involve in other activities too. We did get the freedom of what we wanted to do. And that matters in scientific thinking."

"We had a great time in ISSC. And no doubt we got valuable knowledge of subjects like Maths, Graphics, Parallel computing in ISSC (which we can't get outside). Rather I'll say that due to the knowledge of Graphics only, right now I am working in a well known company as a Sr. s/w engineer. Right now I'm getting how useful is the knowledge which we got at ISSC.
As per my personal experience ISSC is a place from where I started implementing my dreams. The environment and teachers in ISSC are also very co-operative. I think it is upto us to take the advantage of the surroundings."

"ISSC, it never restricted or diverted student from doing any activity. The department was always free to arrange technical training sessions, seminars and courses that helps student in shaping their career. The facilities at the ISSC are the best as per the industry standards and sufficient for the student to learn. Finally it doesn't matter on which technology you are working/learning but the concepts. Almost 99.99% student got placed and impressing the IT industry with their knowledge gained in ISSC. Its being great experience at ISSC where I could meet many scientists, genius and the talented people.I don't think I could have got all these things in any other college."
