Interdisciplinary School of Scientific Computing announces Entrance Examination for M.Sc (Scientific Computing) course. The test will be conducted on Feb 3,2008 (Sunday) from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm at Pune.

The admissions are done purely on basis of merit in Entrance Exam, which is be conducted once a year.

Eligibility for admission:
50% at B.C.S./B.Sc. (Computer Science) (40% for Reserved categories)

OR

50% at B.E (Computer Science/ IT /E & TC ) (40% for Reserved categories)

Those appearing for final examination may also apply. In case of candidates obtaining equal aggregate marks at entrance examination preference will be given to candidates performing better upto final exam.50% admissions are reserved for SC/ST/NT/DT/OBC categories and 3% for physically handicapped (as per Govt. rules).

Nature of the Entrance Examination
The test will be of 2 hours with approximately equal weightage to the following 4 topics. All questions will be with multiple choice questions. Sample Questions[pdf]
1) Logical ability
2) Elementary mathematical skills including Calculus, Linear algebra, Graph plotting, Combinatorial analysis, etc.
3) Computer fundamentals and C-programming.
