Research Laboratories:
Pulsed Laser Deposition System
Department has got the PLD setup, with two laser sources. Both the lasers have separate active deposition chambers.
- Nd:YAG laser (Model - Nano TRL 850-10-HE) with output of fundamental wavelength 1064 nm.
- Excimer laser ( λ= 248 nm)

Photoluminescence spectroscopy (PL)
Photoluminescence is the spontaneous emission of light from the excited electronic states in a physical system realized by the absorption of incident light. The set up is developed in the department and is consists of an excitation source IK series He-Cd Laser (Kimmon IK3252R- E, Max output - 200mW), sample chamber, reflecting mirror, edge filter, focusing lens, data acquisition module, shutter driver, monochromator (inside Gratings, Mirrors, Slits were installed), CCD (Syncerity) and PMT (DSS series) detectors for recording the spectra.

Sonicator
Sonicators, which use high-frequency sound waves (ultrasound), are versatile tools with applications ranging from emulsification and nanoparticle dispersion to cell disruption, tissue homogenization, and even cleaning.


Thermal evaporation plants, in various industrial contexts, are used for concentrating solutions, treating wastewater, and as intermediate steps in crystallization processes, including applications in food, chemical, and salt industries

Gas sensing devices, or gas sensors, detect and measure the presence and concentration of various gases, playing a crucial role in safety, environmental monitoring, and industrial processes.

Spray pyrolysis is a technique used to deposit thin films, thick films, ceramic coatings, and powders by spraying a precursor solution onto a heated substrate, where chemical reactions lead to solid formation. It's a simple, cost-effective, and versatile method suitable for various applications.

Ball mills are versatile grinding machines used across various industries to reduce the size of materials, primarily by using rotating balls to grind materials into fine powders or powders for applications like mining, cement, pharmaceuticals, and ceramics

Research centrifuges are used to separate particles from liquids based on density, enabling scientists to isolate cells, purify proteins, and separate blood components, among other applications in various scientific fields.

Sensor and Signal Conditioning Laboratory
In the sensor’s lab, students learn various sensors. Further, students design and test the signal conditioning circuits. The sensor lab is equipped with various sensors, e.g. temperature sensor, strain gauge/load cell, level sensors, ultrasonic sensor, light sensors etc.
Process Control and Industrial Automation Laboratory
Process Control and Industrial Automation aids the students in providing technical skills, brands them as future professionals, and assists them in gaining knowledge in manufacturing industries. This laboratory provides PLC controllers, HMI, VFD, and SCADA for learning, designing, testing, and troubleshooting on different physical parameters for industrial real-time problems.

Special Instrumentation Laboratory
In this laboratory, students explore various analytical instruments, e.g. X-ray diffractometer, scanning electron microscope, transmission electron microscope, UV-Vis spectrophotometer, Fourier transform infrared spectrophotometer etc. Furthermore, few optical instruments are also available in lab to study.
Industry 4.0 Laboratory
In this laboratory, students gain good knowledge of the fundamentals of the Internet of Things (IoT) using the ARM Cortex platform, Machine Intelligence, and Robotics.
ARISTO 6 axis manipulator
It is six axis articulated robotic arm of industrial for training and research and is manufactured to industrial standards.
