Course Overview

By virtue of its underlying concept of blending, Blended B Sc is the very well planned blended syllabus to prepare the students conceptually for a multidisciplinary approach and understanding for higher education and research based degrees. It has appropriate overlap of Physics, Chemistry, Maths, Biology, Earth Science and Environment Science.  The course aims to expose the student to the vast scope of basic sciences in the form of  theoretical and experimental disciplines with applications.  The objective is to emphasize the importance of basic science as the most essential disciplines for sustaining the existing industries and establishing new ones to create job opportunities at all levels of employment.

Course Objectives

The Broad objectives of the Blended course are:

  • To develop fundamental understanding of the concepts and applications of the basic sciences such as  Astrophysics, Mathematical Physics, Immunology, Ecology, environmental Biochemistry , Remote Sensing and Geohydrology, Medicinal Chemistry, Evolution of life, Quantum Physics, and Their linkages with subjects like Chemistry, Mathematics, Life sciences, Environmental sciences, Physics, Earth Science and Environment Sciences.
  • To prepare students be able to plan and execute science-related experiments/investigations, analyse and interpret data/information collected using appropriate methods, including the use of appropriate software such as various programming languages and packages, and finally to be able to report systematically the findings of the research work/investigation in connection with appropriate theory.
  • To provide the students with procedural knowledge that creates variety of professionals in interdisciplinary sciences, including professionals engaged in research and development,teaching and government/public sectors.
