Welcome to the Institute of Bioinformatics & Biotechnology (IBB), University of Pune 

IBB was established in 2002 at the University of Pune under the University with Potential for Excellence (UPE) grant of University Grants Commission. The focus of IBB is to promote high quality research and develop technically skilled human resource in the area of Bioinformatics and Biotechnology.

Our vision is to achieve excellence at the global level in research and manpower development in Bioinformatics and Biotechnology. The Institute will stand for integration of basic research with industrial applications in greater interest of national achievements in this era of Modern Biology. Development of cutting edge technologies, imparting high quality education and conducting research in forefront areas are the main features of the Institute.
