There id no formal
Placement Cell in the department at present, but it we plan to
establish one in the near future. However we routinely organize
placement activity as and when possible. Students who pass out from
this department get jobs in Media and Ad/PR field. Campus interviews
are organized at the department, but experience so far is that by
and large, no student remains jobless. Students get jobs/assignments
even during the internship, depending upon their merit and skill.
From the progression point, the students of all the courses are
interviewed per year and selected for the jobs by all the leading
media sectors. This includes leading dailies like Maharashtra Times,
Sakal, DNA, Times of India, etc. It also includes television
channels like E-TV, India Television.
Many IT enabled service companies also take campus interviews and
employ students. This includes some leading names like Knowledge
Horizons, Grey Cells, Continnum solutions, Value notes etc.
In fact, the department proudly claims that all the leading media
centers through out the country, irrespective of the medium, find a
sizeable number of students of this department working for them.
In addition, many companies who require first line content
Developers, seek the talent of our students. Their advertisements
are displayed on the notice board and students are encouraged to
apply and seek these jobs. Whernever required, they are also guided
for the relevant soft skills necessary for the job.
