Achievements

University Grants Commission (UGC) has sanctioned Grants worth Rs 4.20 crores to Skill Development Centre, Savitribai Phule Pune University under the Scheme Deen Dayal Upadhyay Centres for Knowledge Acquisition and Upgradation of Skilled Human Abilities and Livelihood (DDUKAUSHAL) in the following Trades:
Placement Drive for Skill based Courses by Skill Development Centre in Association with National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), New Delhi at K.T.H.M College, Nashik on 15th and 16th June 2015.
Bachelor of Vocation (B.Voc) degree programmes in Energy studies and Gemmology are approved by University Grants Commission (UGC) and received grants worth Rs. 1.85 crores.
Launch of Campus Entrepreneurship and Incubation project in presence of Hon’ble Rajiv Pratap Rudy, Union Minister of State Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Government of India on 13th Feb 2015.
Train the Trainer (ToT) Workshop for Automotive, Telecom and Gems and Jewellery Sector Conducted at Skill Development Centre in collaboration with National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), New Delhi on 17th to 19th Nov 2014.
Skill Development Centre has developed 63 skill based courses of 4 credits for Arts. Fine Arts and Performing Arts, Commerce, Science, Management, Mental Moral Science, Law, Education and Physical Education Faculties to be incorporated in the syllabi for post graduate courses conducted by Savitribai Phule Pune University and affiliated colleges.
Savitribai Phule Pune University has signed a landmark MoU with National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) on 4th August, 2014 at New Delhi. Under this MoU all the affiliated colleges of Savitribai Phule Pune University will offer skill based training to the under graduate and post graduate students as additional course in the regular curriculum. The Entire programme will come into force from the current academic year i.e. 2014-15 for the post graduate students and eventually it will be introduced to the under graduate students.
