Indian Space
	Research Organization (ISRO)
	provides financial support for conducting
research and development activities related to Space Science, Space
Technology and Space Application in Universities and academic institutions
in India. The research program sponsored by ISRO is called RESPOND and its
aim is to encourage quality research in the above areas. ISRO-UoP Joint
Research Programme started in 1998 with the signing of MOU between ISRO and
University of Pune and with the release of funds for the financial year
1998-99. Under this programme, as of now, a total of 125 research projects
have been undertaken out of which 104 projects are completed. At the end of
the project, Principal Investigator submits the final technical report
highlighting the findings of the study. In order to bring the contents of
the study to the notice of ISRO Scientists/Engineers, brief details along
with summary of findings are published from time to time. Approved research
