Pune University Library & Information Science Alumni Association (PULISAA) was formally inaugurated on 19th January 1997.PULISAA aims at strengthening the professional and emotional bonds between the alumni and their alma mater. Ever since its inception the alumni is striving to create unique identity for this school and each of its alumnus

The PULISAA plans to undertake following projects in the coming years

• Compilation of a directory of libraries, information centres, book sellers and publishers, IT firms connected to libraries.

• Who's who of the PULISAAmembers

• Short term courses on website designing

• Organizing symposia, workshops, continuing education programmes

• Setting placement cells for various types of jobs in Library science

• Instituting scholarships and awards

• Publishing newsletters

• Arranging Annual get-togethers of all members link to PULISAA
