The Department of Hindi is be set up in Maharashtra along with the traditional post graduate courses in Functional Hindi was also been instituted in the Department. The Department also conducts post graduate Diploma as Hindi Translation for which admissions are taken by students from all over coupling.

 The Department running two separate M. A. Degree courses and Translation Diploma, ideally speaking there should have been at learn two posts of professors and course of research assisters in the Department. However, every faculty member is not only caring out of the assigned work efficiently but is also committed is academic growth and development of the department.

The department has complete autonomy as for as academic programs are concerned. Since the year 2003-04 the semester system has been introduced. The course contents are revised/ modified as per the impact of globalization of liberalization has been thoroughly considered.

The department provides the guidance for NET/SET/SRF students as well as the facilities of departmental library and computers guidance is also provided to the students who appear at the MPSC/UPSC exam.

Part from delivery lectures in the class, faculty members encourage to the students to participate in the group discussion, seminars, workshops, conference to take part to the various co-operations. Students are enlightened try the expend speakers whose series are organized by the dept.
