Centre for Information and Network Security
(CINS)
is an application
oriented research, design and development centre in the field of Information
Security. Created under the aegis of Ministry of Communications and
Information Technology, Government of India in May 2002 at University of
Pune, CINS has created a niche for itself in the field. The only national
level centre of its kind, CINS is engaged in vendor independent, indigenous
development in Computerized Information Network Security in order to address
the dynamically evolving threats to critical information infrastructure and
the emergent need to have trained information security professionals.

Wireless Implementation and Managed Security Services research

Consultancy and onsite security for Telecom Regulatory Authority of India
for a year

Training programs for government bodies like Computer Emergency Response
Team, Controller of Certification Authority, Ministry of IT and Home
Affairs, Armed Forces Govt of India, Cyber Terrorism Special Cell, Delhi
Police etc.
Conducting diploma and certificate courses (part time and full time) for
students and working professionals

Providing training to students from university departments and other
colleges under university.
